Apple cake
Dough Ingredients:
- 250 gr wholemeal flour
- 1/2 tsp sweet fine salt
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 60 ml fresh light milk
- 1 tsp brandy
- 250 gr butter, diced, frozen
- 2 tbsp water
for stuffing:
- 6 large red apples, cut into thin slices
- 1 tbsp Toplou thyme – pine & herbs honey
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 tbsp butter
Execution:
Dough: Knead all the ingredients with 1-2 tablespoons. soup ice water. Shape them into a ball, cover with cling film and leave in the fridge for 1 hour.
Filling: In a bowl, mix the apples with the sugar and cinnamon. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C and line a baking tray with oil paste.
On a floured surface, open the dough in a round sheet 1 cm thick and spread the apples nicely with the sugar and cinnamon.
Turn the edges of the sheet inwards, creating an unskilled wreath. Pour over the honey and bake for about 1 hour.
