An alcoholic beverage with a strong taste and an intense sweet aftertaste of aromas of nature. Made from raki (Cretan tsikoudia), honey, various spices such as cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, as well as local herbs of the Cretan mountains. Ouzo, the national drink of Greece! It expresses the mentality, temperament and daily life of the Greeks like no other drink. It is part of its cultural heritage. A glass of ouzo is identified with summer, the sun, the meze, the sea, the company, the tranquility. Served: In a small thin glass, putting first the transparent ouzo, then a little water and finally an ice cube. Thus, from transparent, it becomes white and all its aromas are gradually released.

Rakaki – Tsikoudia v.38%

Raki or tsikoudia, the transparent aromatic nectar of the Cretan land, is not only a local product of Crete. It is the essence of a genuine tradition, the identity of a culture that is fully connected to the daily life of the proud inhabitants of the island, expressing in the best way the Cretan hospitality. Tsikoudia in Crete, among other things, is a sign of friendship and kindness, a tool of communication. With a tsikoudia, the Cretans want to celebrate or welcome their guests, to talk in the cafe with the company, to overcome their sorrows and to resolve their differences. Raki is produced from local varieties of Crete (mainly liatiko) by the method of distilling grapes in copper fractional ambyka. Cretans use raki daily as a medicine. Accompanies Greek delicacies such as: Olives, Nut with tomato & oregano, tzatziki, omaties, artichoke etc. With a small glass of tsikoudia, the Cretans squeak in the joys and say "Stin Ygeia Mas". Served: Cool at 10-15oC
